Stuart is a wedding photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland and covers weddings and civil partnerships throughout the country.
He tells us about this recent shoot he covered at Fingask Castle and the Wedding of Emma and Keith.
"A midweek recce to Fingask Castle proved to be one of the most useful of the year, coming away as I did with a few creative ideas. It’s the type of place that encourages that sort of thing, so I was looking forward making the most of my half day shoot with Emma and Keith."
"Today was their wedding day, and just for once the weather was looking good. I dashed up to the bridal suite and greeted Emma who was getting ready with her sassy looking bridesmaids."
"A suitcase of hair rollers burst open to signal a colourful start to proceedings.
There was a growing tension in the air as time marched on, and I gradually sensed my presence was not helping to ease the crowded conditions."
The celebrant was already in position and made it easy to spot Keith.
His best man was much trickier to find however, and it soon became clear that he had last minute duties to attend to. With minutes to spare, he appeared from nowhere and quickly posed with the rings. Whew…tick in the box.
"Emma walked down the red carpet with her dad, and looked absolutely stunning.
The sunshine added a certain sparkle to their outdoor ceremony, with voices carrying in the breeze to create a memorable atmosphere."
"The celebrant warmed everyone up with her humour and clearly had a wonderful command of timing. Emma and Keith looked relaxed throughout, making it easy for me to pick off those natural moments."
"Emma and Keith then turned to face each other to say their vows. They began by reading from a notepad, taking it in turns to share with the world why each other was so special. It all seemed so natural, and thoroughly entertaining."
"By the time the happy couple exchanged rings all you could see was beaming faces. It seemed that everyone in the crowd was grinning from ear to ear."
"As Emma and Keith prepared to walk back down the carpet, the band suddenly burst into life from behind to give me a wee fright. It only added to the sense of pleasure as the sun baked down on us. A kiss sealed the deal as everyone applauded."
"Afterwards we had some family photographs in front of the walled courtyard."
"The staff thereafter kindly brought round the tractor and trailer which we all heard coming from quite a distance.
It was an idea which came from the midweek recce, and Emma and Keith were quick to support it. The boys piled into the back, while Emma took up her position in the drivers seat."
"The finishing touch came from a pair of white rimmed shades which I borrowed from a guest. Everyone snapped away in delight and the crowd pleaser was complete."
"It left just enough time to invite Emma and Keith away for some photographs alone, and a fitting finale in the gardens.
We headed into the undergrowth, stopping off first at an abandoned telephone box to indulge in a glass of champagne by a gigantic tree."
"I can only imagine it relaxed them, because they strolled down the line of trees known as the kings walk, seemingly without a care in the world.
What a fantastic setting to get married in, and how cool a day to have pulled off in the heat of the summer sun."

We are blessed in Scotland to be able to marry virtually anywhere and its lovely, weather permitting to be brought together forever surrounded by nature and the beauty of our fair land. Fingask is a truly beautiful location and Stuart has captured this and the couple wonderfully in a day filled with love.
